RADS Setup Process
RADS can be available to plan whenever you need us. First, we execute a typical HIPAA agreement ("business associate agreement"). Then we set up a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant connection to your treatment planning system. Once we learn physician preferences and department requirements, we are ready to login to your TPS at the drop of a hat to prevent bottlenecks during staff vacancies or unexpected spikes in volume. If your patient volume is low, RADS can even be your primary dosimetry resource, saving you money on employment related costs and benefits. RADS can also contour critical structures and provide other custom services.
Once we get set up RADS asks our clients to assign to us at least one plan per month (or three plans per quarter) to foster and maintain familiarity between RADS and facility personnel and to help keep system connectivity current. In other words, working together consistently on at least one plan per month promotes readiness in everyone involved to work well together any time the need arises for remote dosimetry services.

Critical Structure Contouring
RADS can save you valuable time with accurate critical structure contouring.
Quality treatment planning and treatment delivery start with accurate, consistent contouring. Normal structure contours are included in each plan price. RADS can also contour critical structures accurately and likely more cost-effectively than a PRN, per diem, or locum dosimetrist on site.
When you let RADS contour critical structures, it will free up dosimetrist, physicist, and/or radiation oncologist time for other tasks.
We can bundle the price of critical structure contouring services with the treatment planning or we can charge separately for it. We will work with you to see which way is the most cost-effective for your department.
Transfer Plans
to R&V System
RADS will accurately transfer the plan and chart data.
When you are shorthanded, we can help you avoid bottlenecks in the workflow by keeping plans moving smoothly through the process and into the R&V system once approved by the radiation oncologist. This can save you money and will free up dosimetrist time for other tasks.
